Beware Indonesia Halal Law affecting the exporting business of Cosmetics to Indonesia

Cosmetics Manufacturers and Distributors must be aware that exporting cosmetics to Indonesia shall mandatory compliance with the Halal requirements and it will be enforced until 2022.

According to the Halal Law that came into effect on October 17, 2019, consumer products such as food and cosmetics that are imported, distributed and traded in Indonesia must now be certified as Halal products and the cosmetics are required to be implemented until 2022, which means only Halal Cosmetics can be imported to the Indonesia markets.
